St. Peter's school in Mansfield is closed Tuesday due to the extreme heat.
Laurie McKeon, head of school for St. Peter's said, the reason is because temperatures are expected to reach the low to mid 90's today and the building has no central air conditioning.
McKeon said it's possible St. Peter's may be closed again on Wednesday, as temperatures all this week are forecasted at 90 degrees or above.
