ASHLAND, Ohio – The Salvation Army Ashland Kroc Center, which serves the greatest number of people experiencing the greatest need in Ashland County, has received a $40,000 grant from Armstrong Cable. This grant will support the Kroc Center’s hunger assistance efforts, which have increased since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, the Kroc Center’s pantry distributed nearly half of a million pounds of food—over 200,000 pounds more than the previous year. To the present the Kroc Center continues serving a larger amount of food weekly compared with pre-pandemic levels.
The Salvation Army wants to thank Armstrong for this generous donation during these extremely challenging times. Armstrong has supported The Salvation Army consistently in Ashland, and we are so grateful for their continued involvement in the community now, when the need is high.
