Marion Troopers Investigating a Fatal Crash
Marion – Troopers from the Marion Post are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on July 16, 2021, at approximately 10:36 AM on State Route 309, west of mile post 29 in Tully Township, Marion County.
The crash involved a 2009 Buick Lucerne, driven by a Marsha E. Hartman, age 62, of Galion, Ohio. Ms. Hartman was traveling westbound on State Route 309 when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a mailbox, a ditch and two trees.
Ms. Hartman was pronounced deceased at the scene by Marion County Coroner, Dr. Mark Davis.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, First Consolidated Fire and EMS, the Marion County Coroner’s Office and Precision Towing. This crash remains under investigation.
