Two Arrested Following 3 Month Drug Investigation In Galion

On July 14, 2021 at 6:32 AM The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and METRICH Drug Task Force executed a narcotic search warrant at 476 Fifth Ave. Galion, Ohio. The Sheriff’s Office utilized the Crawford County Special Response Team which consists of the Sheriff’s Office, Bucyrus, Galion, Crestline and New Washington Police Departments along with Galion and Bucyrus Fire Departments. This Search warrant was a result of 3-month long investigation, into drug activity at this residence.

Arrested in the search warrant was Shawn Kouns, age 49 and Teresa Howard, age 47 who were the targets of the investigation.

During the search of the property, Officers seized Meth, Marijuana, drug paraphernalia and cash.

Both Kouns and Howard will be facing drug related charges and are currently incarcerated at the Crawford County Justice Center.

The Sheriff’s Office is still investigation the case and the reports will be sent to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for review.
