The Richland County Commissioners agreed to continue to share excess sales tax with other cities, townships and villages at its current rate next year.
According to RichlandSource.com, the money is shared with 27 subdivisions, which started back in 1989. Normally, the amount divided up is around $1.4 million, which is based on the number of road mileage in each area of the county.
It’s possible the amount shared could change in 2023, as the Commissioners said they will look at it closely next year.
