A new proposal has been submitted for Union Workers in Ashland County that have been on strike since the middle of June.
According to RichlandSource.com, workers at Custom Hoists in the village of Hayesville have been on strike since June 14 and recently delivered a new contract proposal. A representative for the union said their intention is to get back to work, as they wait to hear back on the proposal.
Reasons for the strike include higher wages, lower insurance costs and better working conditions.
