Ashland University graduate Katie Nageotte has qualified for the Olympic games this summer in Tokyo.
RichlandSource.com reports, the 30 year old, who is from the Cleveland area, won the women’s pole vault competition in Oregon at the US Olympic Trials.
AU track and field coach Jud Logan, who is a 4 time Olympian himself, said Nageotte is one of the best woman’s pole vaulters in the world. Nageotte will compete for team USA later this month at the Tokyo Olympics.
