There is growing concern over the future of the flying mission at the 179th Airlift Wing in Mansfield.
State Senator Mark Romanchuk said, right now the news does not sound good, after the 179th was once again put on a list, as the Air Force is planning to reduce the number of older C-130H models, which Mansfield has 8.
Romanchuk said a cyber security mission could be coming to Mansfield, which would be less jobs and not include a flying mission. The decision could be made by the end of the year.
