Bellville police were involved in a high speed chase this week that started on State Route 97 near I-71, according to RichlandSource.com.
Authorities tried to pull over a vehicle for a traffic violation, but then fled into Delaware County where the tires were flattened by stop sticks. When authorities approached the vehicle, it was discovered the man, a 48 year old from Hancock county, died from a self - inflicted gunshot wound. The incident remains under investigation.
