Ashland County has received the first half of its COVID-19 relief money from the American Rescue Plan, which is just over $5.1 million dollars.
RichlandSource.com reports, the County Commissioners approved the stimulus funds on Thursday, which has until 2024 to be spent. The other half of the money will arrived around this time next year.
The commissioners are in no rush to spend the money and will meet with other county officials to get a plan for how to money can best be used.
