Ohio EPA Investigating In Mifflin After Sewage Pumped Into Creek

The Ohio EPA is investigating possible issues at the Mifflin Waste Water Treatment Plant after it’s believed that around 5,000 gallons of sewage was pumped into a creek.

RichlandSource.com reports, the plant lost power for about an hour on May 20th, which looks to be the reason why, but it’s not known how much of the sewage was treated.

Because of the power outage, the plant operator and village officials were not alerted to the problem.
