The Madison Township Trustees this week voted to enclose the area where a toxic substance was found at a demolition site on Express view Drive.
RichlandSource.com reports the cost to put two feet of dirt on top of the contaminated soil would cost around $6,000. The other option, which was to remove all 434 tons of soil, had a cost of nearly $50,000.
The Trustees said they will make sure the work is done correctly, after some residents voiced concerns of any water running off into nearby properties.
