Richland County Sales Tax up 46% From Same Time Last Year

Early numbers are showing that Richland County Sales tax figures are up significantly from one year ago when we were in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Commissioner Cliff Mears says sales tax revenue for Richland County is up 46% from this time in 2020, which is not counting auto sales.

Mears said he is very encouraged with the numbers, which are higher than the state average of 35%.
