Mapleton Local School District Announces Giving Initiative

Ashland, OH:The Mapleton Mounties are on the move! The Mapleton Local School District is proud to announce that the Robert Simonson Family Charitable Fund has made a commitment to match $10,000 in donations with a $50,000 grant toward a complete weight room renovation at Mapleton High School. Bob has been moved by the impact that coaches and athletics had on his life as a student athlete and now desires to be a catalyst for giving back to what helped build him, and continues to build other young people.

The new weight room will be centrally located to be utilized by many student-athletes. The current design is proposed to include the equipment necessary for the Mapleton teams to train and improve for competition, including new power racks.

Mapleton Schools value their connection to current families, alumni, and community members and businesses. By giving to the weight room initiative, donors will have the opportunity to see their investment play out in students’ lives and help build a legacy both on and off the field. Those interested in investing in the community and showing their Mountie PRIDE can find more information and give atgive.mapletonmounties.com.

Those who wish to continue impacting future generations are encouraged to sustain their giving to Mapleton Schools after this initiative. They may choose to donate to a general fund or specific initiative with the confidence that 100% of funds go directly to students, not staff or operations.
