Lexington woman taken into custody after husband found dead in basement

A Lexington woman was taken into custody earlier this week after her husband's body was found in the basement of their Second Avenue home, according to authorities. Richland Source.com says, the identities of the woman and the man were not released as of Wednesday morning. Lexington police Chief Brett Pauley, in an emailed press release Wednesday morning, said the Ohio State Highway Patrol located the woman at about 6:30 p.m. and she was taken into custody without incident. Pauley said the names of the two residents are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and the investigation continues.
