May 4th Ballot: Two Renewals For Mansfield Voters, PRIDE Tax And Potholes

Mansfield voters will see two renewals on next month’s May 4th ballot.

One is the PRIDE Tax, which is for Parks, Recreation, Illumination, Demolitions and Emergency Services. The other is for Potholes, which both generate more than $3.5 million dollars each year.

The PRIDE tax benefits the Mansfield Police and Fire Departments, along with parks, street lights and knocking down dilapidated structures in the city of Mansfield.

RichlandSource.com reports the Pride tax first passed back in 2013, while the Pothole tax, which helps in paving roads, was established more than 30 years ago.
