The Richland County Commissioners this week approved a 15 year, 50% tax abatement for the Major Metals Company, which is located on Kochheiser road just north of Belleville.
RichlandSource.com reports, the project will see a near 50,000 square foot expansion, which will add 16 jobs and additional payroll in the next 3 years of $800,000.
The company, which is a steel tube manufacturer, is located near State Route 97 and I-71 in the Lexington school district. Major Metals was founded back in 1973.
