Missy Houghton has been promoted to Richland County Dog Warden, effective Thursday, April 1st, according to RichlandSource.com.
Houghton will take over for current Dog Warden Dane Howard, who has announced he is retiring. Howard previously was in law enforcement for over 30 years. He said that Houghton brings a lot to the table and will do a great job.
Houghton spent 13 years in charge of the Richland County Humane Society and joined the Dog Warden’s office in 2019.
