Board of Control Gives Approval To Work On Clear Fork Dam Project

The Mansfield Board of Control this week gave approval for engineering work on the Clear Fork Reservoir Dam Project.

RichlandSource.com reports, the $145,000 contract with Stantec, is for construction engineering on the 72 year old Dam, which has had portions of water seeping through since the 1970’s. City Engineer Bob Bianchi said there is no problem right now, but they want to get the work done to avoid a potential problem down the road. Work may not start on the Clear Fork Reservoir Dam until 2022. The Clear Fork Reservoir Dam supplies a majority of the water for the city of Mansfield.
