Two Richland County Sheriff Deputies Cleared In December Shooting

A Grand Jury in Richland County has ruled that the shooting death of a Mansfield man by Richland County Sheriff’s Deputies was justified for use of force, according to RichlandSource.com.

The incident happened on December 3rd on Lexwood road, where Deputies were called to check on a 60 year old male. He came agitated, grabbed a gun and shot one of the deputies in the arm. Another deputy shot the man, who later died at the hospital. The incident was investigated by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation.
