The number of overdose deaths and suicides in Richland County last year were up comparted to 2019.
According to Joe Trolian, executive director with the Richland County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, the COVID-19 pandemic had a direct impact. Trolian told RichlandSource.com that people are not prepared to cope with lockdowns, which happened early on last year in 2020.
