Richland County could see a COVID-19 vaccination rate of close to 70% by sometime in late August.
That according to Richland Public Health Commissioner Sara Humphrey, who told RichlandSource.com, the vaccine rollout locally has been smooth. Humphrey also said it’s possible Richland County could reach herd immunity by the start of the (2021-2022) school year this fall. She said the community needs to maintain the 70% or higher vaccination rate to keep herd immunity.
