The Shelby School Board of Education this week approved a new $4 million Athletic Complex by a vote of 5-0.
Superintendent Tim Tarvin says the project will include a new turf football field to be used for soccer as well, along with locker rooms, additional parking and the relocation of the baseball field.
Work is expected to start in June and the hope is to be ready in August of 2023.
