Body Of Missing Shelby Woman Found In Trunk Of Her Car Near Columbus Sunday

The body of a missing Shelby woman has been found in the trunk of her car near Columbus, according to police.

Richland County Sheriff Steve Sheldon said, 33 year old Melinda Kay Davis was last seen in Shelby on February 25th near the high school and was believed to have been headed to the Mansfield area to see her ex-boyfriend, John Mack, who was arrested back on March 4th for kidnapping and is currently in the Richland County Jail.

Columbus Police notified local law enforcement that Davis’ car was found on Sunday night in Galloway, Ohio.

The vehicle was brought back to Richland County and an autopsy will take place in Montgomery County.
