The Richland and Crawford County Commissioners this week approved for the use of a drone to record video of 15 miles of the Black Fork, which is part of a project to reduce flooding in the Shelby area.
RichlandSource.com reports, the project also looks to improve drainage in the area, which has had several flooding problems over the years and a big flood back in 2007.
Richland County Commissioner Cliff Mears says the video of the drone footage will be looked at during a meeting in May. The drone work will be handled by the Richland Soil and Water Conservation District.
