Mansfield Finance Director Concerned With 2021 Proposed Budget

Mansfield Finance Director Linn Steward is not comfortable with the city’s proposed budget for 2021, according to RichlandSource.com.

Steward this week during a Finance committee meeting said right now the balance for the budget at the end of the year is just over $177,000. Steward saying it’s the smallest amount in her time as Finance Director.

Mansfield has a $6.1 million carryover from last year and revenue in 2021 of just over $24.5 million. Projected spending for 2021 is just over $30 million. Steward saying we are not in a safe zone. Council needs to vote on the proposed budget by the end of March.
