COVID-19: Shelby Health Department Reporting 13 New Cases

COMPREHENSIVE COVID-19 REPORT

The Shelby City Health Department is reporting COVID-19 activity from 2/17 – 2/22 with a total of 13 new cases (general population) -as well as- 14 recovered/resolved cases (general population).

The Department has documented a total of 760 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March. Of that cumulative number, 720 individuals have attained recovered/resolved status. There have been 29 COVID-19 deaths documented from within our jurisdiction (5 from general population and 24 from long term care facility)

The Department is currently monitoring a total of 11 active cases (general population) with 1 individual hospitalized (general population)

Richland County remains under a Level 3, Red status and citizens are strongly urged to stay at home when possible and to follow all COVID-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines, including: frequent and thorough hand washing, careful sanitization, strict physical/social distancing (whether inside or outside of the home), and the consistent wearing of face coverings.
