Ohio Flu Hospitalizations Down Due To Mask Use And Social Distancing

Thursday, Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff, Chief Medical Officer for the Ohio Department of Health, told Governor Mike DeWine that with masking wearing and social distancing going on due to COVID-19, it has flu hospitalizations down this year.

Statewide one year ago, there were over 5,500 admitted to Ohio hospitals for the flu. So far this flu season, that number is less than 100 across the Buckeye state.
