HUMPHREY CHOSEN AS LIAISON TO OPHA COMMITTEE
MANSFIELD, OH — Sarah Humphrey, Health Commissioner at Richland Public Health, has been chosen as a Legislative Liaison for the Ohio Public Health Association’s (OPHA) Public Policy and Advocacy Committee.
As a Legislative Liaison, Ms. Humphrey will assist OPHA in advocating for public health in Ohio’s legislative and rulemaking processes. She will be instrumental in helping OPHA communicate with Ohio House and Senate members on the public health issues that matter to Ohio citizens.
Ms. Humphrey will have an opportunity to give feedback about pending legislation to OPHA's Public Policy and Advocacy Committee which advises the OPHA Governing Council. She will be attending training and monthly meetings while working with other public health professionals to provide support for OPHA policy.
Ms. Humphrey is beginning her second year as Health Commissioner at Richland Public Health, helping to guide continuity of the local health department’s services during the difficult COVID-19 pandemic.
