Mansfield has a new City Council President in David Falquette.
According to RichlandSource.com, Falquette received 10 of 11 votes to be elected to the position this week by the Mansfield Central Committee.
He takes over for Cliff Mears, who stepped down to take the job as Richland County Commissioner.
Falquette was first elected to city council in 2017.He was born in Fremont, but moved to Mansfield and has resided here since 1983.
