Council Talks Mansfield Main Street Improvement Project, Will Vote Feb 16

Mansfield City Council this week heard a presentation about improvements to the downtown area with the Main Street Corridor plan from City Engineer Bob Bianchi and Downtown Mansfield Inc. CEO Jennifer Kime.

Bianchi told RichlandSource.com, this would be a significant and major improvement to the downtown corridor. The total cost would be around $8 million and would see new lighting fixtures, sidewalks and brick crosswalks to make the area more pedestrian friendly.

Council President Cliff Mears says the cost to the city would be just shy of $2 million. City Council will vote on the plan on February 16th.
