Ashland Renames Street After Officer That Passed Away In June

The city of Ashland has renamed a street in a honor of a Police officer that passed away this summer.

RichlandSource.com reports, the drive leading to the Ashland Justice Center has been renamed Alting Avenue in honor of Lt.Garry Alting, who died during a medical procedure back in June. Ashland Police Chief David Marcelli said everyone loved Alting, who was a 25 year veteran on the force. Alting was born in Shelby and went to high school in Loudonville.
