Mansfield Mayor Wants To Tweak Legislation For Security System False Alarms

 Mansfield City Council recently talked about legislation to looking into possible issuing fines for false alarms in regards to security systems.

RichlandSource.com reports that Dan Gregory, who is Mansfield's alarm ordinance administrator has quit after he claimed the mayor pulled the proposed legislation that would fine security companies, starting with the 4th false alarm.

Mayor Tim Theaker said the administration just wants a simple tweak to the proposal and wants to have it in front of city council early next year in January or February.

Mansfield Police and Fire on average respond to close to 7 per day and over 2,500 for the year.
