64 Animals Removed From Ashland County Home, Humane Society Needs Donations

The Ashland County Humane Society is asking for help from the public after 54 cats and 10 dogs were removed from a home in the northern part of the county, according to RichlandSource.com.

The Ashland County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to the residence for an unrelated incident and found the animals living in what they called "deplorable conditions."

The owner surrendered most of the cats willingly, but some cats, dogs and puppies were seized. The Humane Society is hoping for donations of food, litter and other items for the animals, which they hope will be available for adoption soon.
