The Shelby City Health Department is reporting COVID-19 activity over the past 24 hours with 13 new cases. The Department has documented a total of 321 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March.
Of that cumulative number, 230 have attained recovered/resolved status as of this report. The Department is currently monitoring 88 active cases - with 87 individuals self-isolating in home quarantine and 1 individual hospitalized. There have been 3 COVID-19 deaths documented by the Department.
Richland County is now under a Level 4, Purple status and citizens are strongly urged to stay at home when possible and to follow all COVID-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines, including: frequent & thorough hand washing, careful sanitization, strict physical/social distancing (whether inside or outside of the home), and the consistent wearing of face coverings.
