Mansfield Legislation Would Create Fines For Security System False Alarms

The City of Mansfield is looking into possible issuing fines for false alarms in regards to security systems.

Council President Cliff Mears says Mansfield Police and Fire on average respond to close to 7 per day and over 2,500 for the year.

City Council will vote on December 15th for proposed legislation that would change the current ordinance to start charging fines starting with the 4th false alarm and the more false alarms, the higher the fines would go.
