Shelby Reports 5 New COVID-19 Cases, Monitoring 41 Active

COVID-19 Update Press Release from City of Shelby

The Shelby City Health Department is reporting COVID-19 activity over the past 24 hours with 5 new cases and 8 recovered/resolved cases. The Department has documented a total of 245 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March. Of that cumulative number, 203 individuals have attained recovered /resolved status as of this report. The Department is currently monitoring 41 active cases with 41 individuals self-isolating in home quarantine and 0 individuals hospitalized. There has been one COVID-19 death documented within the City of Shelby.

Citizens are strongly urged to observe all COVID-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines, including: frequent hand washing, sanitization, physical/social distancing, and the wearing of face coverings.
