COVID-19: Due To Spike In Cases, Mansfield Closes Municipal Building

To All Citizens:

The City of Mansfield values the health and well-being of its community and employees. We have continued to monitor the ongoing spike in COVID cases in Central Ohio, and as a result, we are implementing the following steps as part of our COVID response. Effective Tuesday, December 1, 2020, Mayor Theaker is announcing that the Mansfield City Municipal building will be closed to the general public and is scheduled to re-open Jan. 18, 2021.

- Virtual City Council meetings will continue as in the recent past; online on Facebook live.

- Our Safety Forces will continue to serve our community with no changes other than the Municipal Building being closed.

- According to Presiding Judge Jerry Ault, the Mansfield Municipal Court will be open for business from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM. All civil trials, with the exceptions of evictions, are continued, and the parties will receive notice of future date and time to appear. Parties summoned to appear for a civil pre-trial or status conference are to appear by telephone.

- Residents who need to contact a City Department during this period may visit the City website for the departmental phone numbers.
