The Shelby Whippets got their first win of the season on Friday in the season opener over Madison, 70-49. The Whippets were led in scoring by Senior TJ Pugh, who had a game high 26 pts. Cody Lantz had 12 pts and Brazure Roberts chipped in with 11 pts.
Madison, who fell to 0-1 on the year had 4 players in double figures in the loss.
