Up to 700 Possible New Jobs In Plan To Redevelop Former Ontario GM Site

Work is underway to redevelop the former GM property in Ontario, according to RichlandSource.com. 400 to 700 jobs could be created as Charter Next Generation is set to become the first company in what’s now known as, the Ontario Commerce Park.

Dan Niss, President of Charter Next Generation, says the Ontario plant will make specialty bags, while the Lexington plant will produce specialty film.

Ontario mayor Randy Hutchinson said, City Council approved an agreement with a company out of Solon to sell 6 acres of the land and the former Press Prep building for $525,000.
