Shelby Schools To Go Remote Learning Nov. 23rd - Dec 4th

The Shelby School district says it will move its students to remote learning next week, as COVID-19 cases continue to spike in the area and across the state.

Superintendent Tim Tarvin in a school release said, students will shift to remote learning on Monday, November 23 and Tuesday, November, 24th, then after the Thanksgiving break, will keep with remote learning November 30th through Friday, Dec. 4th.

Tarvin said the recent surge in coronavirus is beginning to negatively impact our student attendance and their ability to staff buildings throughout the district.

The district plans to resume in-person classes on Monday, December 7th through December 22nd.

Shelby schools will be on holiday break December 23rd – Jan 4th and then resume face to face learning on January 5th.
