COVID-19: Lucas Schools Going To Remote Learning In Proactive Move

Lucas Schools are closed for the remainder of this week (Wednesday through Friday) to help the district prepare to move to remote learning. RichlandSource.com reports, Lucas Superintendent Brad Herman said it's like the district will remain with remote learning from November 23rd through the rest of 2020. The move is a proactive move due to the spike in COVID-19 cases around the area. Herman said they have had other illness in the district with 20% of the student body missing classes the last two days. If things improve, Lucas could return to the classroom, but for now plan to shift to remote learning through the end of December.
