Shelby Monitoring 31 Active COVID-19 Cases, 3 Currently Hospitalized

Below is a press release from Shelby mayor Steve Schag with the latest on the coronavirus in the city as of Tuesday, November 17th, at 1 pm.

The Shelby City Health Department is reporting COVID-19 activity over the past 48 hours. The Department has documented a total of 150 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March. Of that communitive number, 118 have attained recovered/resolved status. 

The Department is currently monitoring 31 active cases. 28 are self-isolating in home quarantine and 3 are hospitalized. There has been 1 COVID-19 death documented within the City of Shelby. Citizens are strongly urged to observe all COVID-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines, including: frequent hand washing, sanitization, physical/social distancing, and the wearing of face coverings.
