STATE CHAMPS! - Madison Girls Soccer Claims First Ever Title

The Madison girls soccer team on Friday in Columbus finished off an undefeated season with a 2-1 win over Granville in the Division II State Title game at Mapfre stadium. RichlandSource.com reports that Lady Rams freshman Naveah Lewis scored both goals for Madison, while goal keeper Paige Eldridge was outstanding in net. Madison, who lost last year in the state title game, wraps up 2020 with the schools first ever state title in soccer with a record of 21-0-3. Rams coach Zac Huff told WMAN this week after losing last year in the state title game - this was a business trip! Madison's last state title came in Volleyball back in 1997 and Huff said the community really got behind the team.
