Shelby Reports 2 New COVID-19 Cases Thursday

Shelby mayor Steve Schag sent out a press release regarding the latest COVID-19 in the city as of Thursday afternoon.

The Shelby City Health Department is reporting COVID-19 activity over the past 21 hours with 4 cases recovered and 2 new cases. The Department has documented a total of 101 individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 since the outbreak began in March. Of that cumulative number, 86 have attained recovered/resolved status. The Department is currently monitoring 14 active cases which are self-isolating in home quarantine. There are currently no hospitalizations.

There has been one COVID-19 death documented within the City of Shelby. Citizens are strongly urged to observe COVID-19 protocols and Health Department guidelines, including: frequent hand washing, sanitization, physical/social distancing, and the wearing of face coverings.
