The Galion Police department responded Tuesday to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a train on Market Street just after 1 p.m.
A 54 year old Galion man was taken to Avita hospital in Galion and then taken to another hospital by Med Flight with life threatening injuries.
The accident remains under investigation. Police say video obtained showed the man sitting very close to the tracks on the south side. Authorities say the man did not move when the train sounded its warning horns.
