The Richland County Courthouse was evacuated on Monday after someone called in a bomb threat just after noon.
The Richland County Sheriff's Office responded quickly and did a sweep of the building twice and found nothing. The courthouse was then opened back up. An investigation is underway by Major Crimes into the incident.
According to officials, the suspect who made the threat via the phone was very disgruntled about a court decision.
