HS Football - Shelby Rolls Into Regional Title Game With Win Over Clyde

The Shelby Whippets were impressive once again on Saturday night, as they defeated the defending Division IV State Champion Clyde Fliers in the Regional Semi-Finals 28-14 at W.W. Skiles Field.

Whippets running back Owen Fisher rushed for 175 yards and 3 TD's - including the first play from scrimmage for Shelby that Fisher bolted down the sidelines 68 yards for a score. QB Marshall Shepherd threw a 24 yard TD pass for the other Whippets score.

Shelby's defense was really dialed in as the Whippet "Hungry Hound" defense allow just two scores on the night and puts Shelby in the Division IV Regional Championship game Saturday night, Nov. 7th, vs Van Wert (8-1) at Skiles Field. The winner moves on to the State Final Four.
