Mansfield City Council this week approved just shy of $1.7 million dollars in COVID-19 funding, which is CARES ACT money from the federal government, due to the pandemic.
Council, according to RichlandSource.com, gave the ok for more than $1 million dollars to go towards purchases for the Mansfield Police and Fire Departments.
Mansfield overall has received more than $4 million dollars in COVID-19 relief funding.
