What Happens If Richland County Goes Purple On COVID-19 Map?

The Richland County Commissioners yesterday Tuesday voiced their frustration about not knowing exactly what will happen on Thursday, if the county turns purple on the Ohio Public Health Advisory Map.

County Commissioner Marilyn John told RichlandSource.com, the state has not explained to them what services are allowed? Do business shutdown? What about schools? Can you only leave your home for supplies?

Governor Mike DeWine on Tuesday said…going Purple has no consequences or sanctions from the state. The map is to let people know and inform them of the nature of the problem.

Richland, currently in the Red Level 3, could be the first county to turn Purple, which is Level 4, the highest on the State’s Public Health Advisory, which began in July.
